When I tell y’all F1 Arcade in DC surprised me, I mean it in the best way. I walked in thinking it was just another arcade but baby, it felt like stepping into a luxury racetrack-meets-lounge… and I was instantly obsessed.
Walking in: The Vibe Hit First
The second you walk into F1 Arcade, the energy grabs you. Neon lights, the sound of racing engines humming, groups laughing, cocktails shaking it’s one of those places that just feels fun. The whole Union Market District vibe already sets the tone, but F1 Arcade takes it way up.
The space is huge, too over 17,000 square feet but it still feels warm and social. Like the perfect spot for a date night, a meet-up, or a “let’s stop playing and actually link up” moment with your friends.

The Racing? Next-Level.
Now listen… I am not an F1 expert. I just knew I wasn’t tryna embarrass myself.
But the moment I sat in that simulator? Oh, it was ON.
These aren’t regular arcade games they’re full-motion rigs based on real Formula 1 tracks. The seat rumbles, the wheel fights back, the speed feels real. At one point I forgot it was a game and leaned into a turn like I was actually on the track in Abu Dhabi.
If you’re competitive? Prepare to talk trash.
If you’re not? The simulator will humble you… respectfully.
Drinks & Food That Actually Slap
One thing Black travelers know: cute places with weak food will get you dragged.
F1 Arcade understood the assignment.
I tried their small plates and cocktails and everything tasted as good as it looked. Wagyu sliders? Fire. Ahi tuna tostadas? Clean and flavorful. And their signature cocktails make you feel like you won the race even if you absolutely did not.

The Social Energy Makes the Experience
What makes this spot special for Black travelers and content creators is the ambiance. It’s luxury but playful. Chill but lively. You can take pics, shoot content, meet people, have fun, and not feel like you’re doing “too much.” It’s the type of spot you walk into and instantly see yourself coming back with different groups baecation, girls trip, creator link-up, or solo playdate.
It’s also extremely Black-friendly and inclusive, which matters when traveling. You feel safe, comfortable, and welcomed.
Perfect for Creators: Lights, Angles, Content Everywhere
If you’re a creator like me, this place is basically a neon playground.
The simulators? A whole aesthetic.
The bar? Lighting on point.
The track-themed walls? Chef’s kiss.
You can literally create a whole vibe without trying too hard.
Would I Go Back? 1000%
F1 Arcade isn’t just a racing venue it’s an experience.
It’s immersive, social, stylish, and honestly… it’s just fun.
If you’re heading to DC or already in the area, put this at the top of your list. Go with friends, go solo, go with someone you’re trying to impress whatever you choose, you’re going to have a good time.
