There are two types of travelers in this world: those who daydream about Cappadocia’s hot air balloons and those who have actually been there. After this trip, I’m officially in the latter category—and let me tell you, it was everything and more. From floating in a hot air balloon at sunrise to running alongside wild horses and living my best luxurious life in Istanbul, this trip was a whole movie. If you’ve been thinking about hitting up Turkey, let me go ahead and push you over the edge—book the flight, sis!
Cappadocia: A Fairytale in Real Life
Hot Air Balloon Ride – 4:00 AM, But Make It Magical
Let me keep it real with you—waking up at 3 AM is not my ministry. But for this? Oh, I’d do it again in a heartbeat. Floating over Cappadocia’s otherworldly landscape as the sun peeks over the horizon is pure magic. It’s one of those “Wow, God really snapped with this one” moments.
Pro Tip: If you’re landing in Cappadocia in the middle of the night (around 1:30 AM), just freshen up at the airport and head straight to the launch site. Sleep is overrated when the experience is this breathtaking. You’ll have the rest of the day to nap… or at least pretend you’re not exhausted.

Catch the Balloons at Sunrise From Your Hotel
Not a fan of heights? No worries—you can still experience the magic from the ground. We stayed at Rox Cappadocia, which had the perfect rooftop view to watch the balloons rise at sunrise. And let’s talk about that breakfast—fresh, delicious, and served with a side of breathtaking scenery.
The Running Horse Photoshoot – A Cinematic Dream
If your Instagram feed has been missing a main character moment, this is it. The running horse photoshoot by @cappadress is straight out of a movie. Picture it: you, a flowy dress, and majestic horses galloping past while the sun sets behind you. Iconic.
The Famous Cappadocia Carpet Photoshoot
Would it even be a trip to Cappadocia without the legendary carpet photoshoot? Sultan Carpet is where you want to be. For 30 euros, you get a traditional outfit and all the swirling, dramatic carpet moments your heart desires. It’s giving travel influencer realness, and I was here for every second of it.

Classic Car & Camel Safari – Because Why Not?
Listen, sometimes you just gotta pull up in a vintage car in the middle of the desert and give old-school Hollywood glamour. Add a camel to the mix? Even better. This jeep safari and camel photoshoot was the kind of extra that I fully support.
Istanbul: A Luxury Lover’s Playground
Where We Stayed: Çırağan Palace Kempinski
When I say luxury, I mean LUXURY. The Çırağan Palace Kempinski is royalty-level living—from the insane views of the Bosphorus to five-star service that makes you feel like an actual queen. And the breakfast? Elite.

Turkish Spa Experience – Because Self-Care is a Must
After all that adventuring in Cappadocia, it was time for some serious relaxation. A private Turkish bath, massage, and spa day in the Old City was exactly what I needed. If you’ve never had a hammam experience, just know you’ll leave feeling exfoliated, hydrated, and spiritually renewed.

Bosphorus Night Cruise – Open Bar & A Whole Vibe
Was the food great? Not really. Did it matter? Not at all. Because between the open bar, belly dancers, and non-stop fun, this Bosphorus dinner cruise was a night to remember. Nothing hits quite like dancing under the stars with the Istanbul skyline glowing in the background.
Flying Bird Photoshoot – Nova Şantiye Cafe
This café is an influencer’s paradise. Multiple backdrops, stunning setups, and a literal flying bird moment for your photoshoot? Take my money. After capturing the content, we grabbed some food and hookah and just vibed. 10/10, highly recommend.
Whirling Dervish Performance – A Mesmerizing Cultural Experience
I wrapped up my Istanbul trip with a Whirling Dervish performance—a mesmerizing, spiritual tradition that was unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. It was the perfect, peaceful way to end an action-packed adventure.
Final Thoughts: Is Turkey Worth It?
If you’re still on the fence about visiting Turkey, let me just say this: BOOK. THE. TRIP. From Cappadocia’s dreamlike landscapes to Istanbul’s luxury and vibrant culture, this destination gave everything it was supposed to give.
Would I do it again? Absolutely. Would I wake up at 4 AM for another hot air balloon ride? Without hesitation. Would I stay at another five-star palace hotel just because? You already know.
So, who’s coming with me next time? Drop a comment if Turkey is on your bucket list!
